EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE USED
Equipment used:
Macintosh G3/300 - 2 4GB hard drives, 1 9GB hard drive, CD, Zip and Jaz drives, Epson printer, Video editing card to create Quicktime Movies. In my back room, I keep busy my old 8100/90 and an upgraded hard drive to support my new Microtech scanner and old Apple Image Writer.
Software used:
Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromind Director, Premier, SoundEdit 16, PowerPoint, Astound, Kai's Power Show, Quark Express, Pagemaker, Flash, Fireworks, BBEdit, Bryce 3D, Poser and a variety of 3D programs. A variety of other programs that compress, translate , organize, convert, and enhance my use of the Mac.
Internet software I prefer is Netscape Communicator, but use Microsoft Explorer to check out problems with web pages.
PAST BACKGROUND
Started drawing at the early age of 5
Studied under many individual fine art and professional artists in the Washington Metropolitan Area
Studied Fine Art at the Washington D.C. School of Art (not in existance at present)
Studied Art at night at the New York School of Art
Spent a couple of years selling portraits and paintings that hang in homes and offices around the country.
Became a professional artist and model maker - working for the Fairfax County Government, Virginia, in the Planning Office
Spent several years using photography as a fine art tool - winning many awards in juried shows. Won a 3 Man show at the Peninsula Fine Art Center in Hampton, Virginia. Won a special award at the Virginia Museum and a year tour of winning photographs in the traveling "Virginia Women Artist Show".
Sold many photographs at shows and developed a special processing style using black and white film and paper.
Worked as a graphic artist for the City of Hampton, Virginia, Planning Office
Worked as a graphic artist for Thomas Nelson Community College since 1979.
